Register Today for the 2024 Banquet

As summer slowly turns into autumn, the colors of the leaves change, but the roots of the tree grow stronger.

That word picture of a beautiful tree vibrant with the colors of autumn describe Ruth Harbor during this season. Our methods of engaging women experiencing an unplanned pregnancy and parenting young children are changing, but we are deeply rooted in our mission to be a Christ-centered home where Jesus is at the very foundation of all we do.

During this year’s banquet, we will introduce you to Ruth Harbor 2.0, an expansion of Ruth Harbor’s ministry. We will explain the need for these additions to our program while staying true to the original mission and vision of our founders.

Here’s a quick look at our program for the evening:

  • Pastor Mark Vance, Lead Pastor, Cornerstone Church of Ames will provide a unique perspective on the generational issues confronting young people and the need for ministries like Ruth Harbor to engage our community to be a gospel influence in Iowa and beyond.

  • Nick & Sharlee will provide an alumnae update and will share what has happened in their lives since last year's banquet. While the challenges are real, so is the faith journey, and Nick & Sharlee's story underscores the need for Ruth Harbor 2.0

  • The Ruth Harbor Pathway will reveal a five-phase program to help women go from barely surviving to thriving.

The feedback we receive following our annual banquet always mention the excellent meal, the convenient location (Airport Holiday Inn), the engaging speakers, the transparent testimony of Ruth Harbor Moms, and the deeper appreciation for the work the Lord is accomplishing through Ruth Harbor.

This is your opportunity to join in the ministry and work the Lord is doing through Ruth Harbor. Together, we provide shelter, safety, food, access to medical care, life skills coaching, counseling, and community to women who are often alone, pregnant or parenting a young child, and experiencing one of the most turbulent times in their life. Together, we provide a place of calm, a place of security, a place that gives women a reason to hope. This is Ruth Harbor, a place where women can go from barely surviving to thriving.
