Hannah’s Transformational Ruth Harbor Story

Have you ever heard a story that was so wonderful that you couldn’t keep it to yourself? While we are thankful for the many stories of transformation that take place at Ruth Harbor, we do not always have the opportunity to share them with friends like you who make this work possible.

Today I would like to share a testimony of one of our young mothers, Hannah, whose life is on a transformational journey. As you watch her story, we ask that you give thanks for the many people God is using and has used to place her on her new path…including you!

So much of her transformational story can be attributed to people who were simply being faithful to what they were called to do; a compassionate police officer, a dedicated Ruth Harbor staffer, a faithful pastor, and the many prayers and behind the scenes support offered by friends and volunteers like you.

Walking the path of a single mom is not an easy journey. Like Hannah, Ruth Harbor moms stumble and fall, but they get up and keep going. They get discouraged and can feel defeated, but they still have hope. Even though you may not know all the mothers you serve through your prayers and generosity, know that you have given them and our team hope!

Our team recently received a note from a donor along with her gift to Ruth Harbor. It simply read, "I can't help in a lot of ways, but I can give to support Ruth Harbor because I know you help moms. I am pro-mom."

Each day Ruth Harbor walks this journey with our moms. As I write this, we currently have five women and five children living in our homes. Because of generous partnerships, we are able to provide food, shelter, transportation, access to medical care, job training, counseling, and so much more. Ruth Harbor serves because men and women like you care about moms, and because of your gifts to Ruth Harbor.

This ministry has three irrevocable, God-given values: we are Christ-centered; we love, care, and support moms, and we love, care, and support babies.
